Nakto Camel Electric Bike Review
Straight up – this is the cheapest full-sized electric bike that you can get out there, and you can trust it. Usually, you’d get mini sized small e-bikes for lower price tag, but this beautifully designed Nakto camel makes a difference.
Don’t get side tracked by that fact that it is comparatively cheaper. The bike definitely delivers as well.
But don’t get your hopes too high and expect something extraordinary. It’s just a decent e-bike that works and it looks beautiful at the same time.
The design is clean, minimalistic, and you get a sturdy bike that can help you with day to day city ride, shopping, and running errands.
There’s a decent cargo rack and an added basket to carry things efficiently. Some of you might not like the basket in the front, but you can always remove it if you want.
Surprisingly, the 250W motor is quite powerful than other 250W rated ones. It is more than powerful enough to cover daily commute on paved roads, and you can easily get away with a slight uphill with a bit of pedaling.
The bike is a bit on the heavier side and you ain’t getting any fancy features like disk brakes and stuff. However, Nakto Camel comes with 6 speed transmission system and two different working modes. You can use pedal assist mode, or full throttle e-bike mode to enjoy a relaxed riding. In case the battery runs out – you can always pedal it as a normal bike.
Anyone above 5’3” can get on this bike; however, there’s a smaller version of this bike with 22” inch wheel size, which is slightly cheaper and is single speed.
It’s 2020 and no one judges a bike by its shape, but still they call it a women’s bike, and they have a different version for men which have a step over frame.
Let’s mention some added features like – headlight, horn and suspension, which makes it suitable for comfortable night riding as well.
Bottom line is – if you are beginner and you need a simple electric bike at a good price without anything fancy, Nakto camel is a wonderful choice to go with.

This is a moped style fashionable e bike which is practical and super affordable. Once again, Nakto has gained their competitive edge through lower pricing and this is one of the cheapest e bike you can get online.

Nakto fashion is compact and the foldable feature is just great. Despite having the foldable feature, don’t expect it to be too light to carry around since this thing weighs around 48 lbs (with battery).
For roaming around the city, running errands, and small tours, this thing is a great companion. The performance from the 250W motor is pretty solid. It can quickly climb up to a decent speed of 22 mph, and with a bit of pedaling – a maximum range of 20 miles is claimed by the company.
Don’t expect to go off-roading or covering long distance with this bike. It is meant for short rides and doesn’t have any mechanical disk brakes, suspension, or derailleur. However, having single speed can work at your advantage as it means low maintenance.
Having said all of that, this bike puts up a decent performance and at the price point it offers, you have nothing to complain. Anyone wanting to get into e bike without spending a ton of money, this is a perfect solution for them. As long as you keep your expectation practical, this is solid bike made out of carbon steel frame.
Some added and functional features include the rear cargo rack, which is super useful for carrying stuff, headlight, horn, and reflective tail light.
Besides that, the bike has three different mode for you to choose. You can go with full throttle, pedal assist, or normal bike mode. Note that, the pedal assist mode does not have different levels.

The smart LCD display is such a great touch. It shows speed, battery level, odometer, and a few other stuffs pretty well. Then there’s a functional horn, front headlight, and six speed Shimano gears.
When it comes to riding modes, it does offer different level of paddle assist (1 to 5) as well, and you can monitor that on your display. I purchased a Nakto 26″ Santa Monica beach cruiser. Good looking bike but motor failed in the first two days of use. Took it back and the Cerritos store fixed it. Rode it again with other ebikers and next day both tires are flat. I like the bike but a lot of cheap parts make it almost a regrettable purchase.
Extremely sad to hear that David. I have received a few more complaints about this particular model you have mentioned. The ones I have mentioned in this article performed quite well in my personal experience. I would suggest you go for the Naktio fat bike or the SOHOO 500W beach cruiser which is similar to Santa Monica in terms of design.
